On February 11-12, 2026, the WorldSkills professional skills competition on the "Confectionery" and "Cooking" competencies of KMKK "Higher Construction and Economic College" was held. 18 students from the II year of the technology department took part in the competition.
"Confectionery" competency Participants completed two modules on Flora and Fauna according to WorldSkills standards:
- Cake with honey;
- A figurine made of mastic.
Winners:
I oryn – Kasimova Snezhana and Porokhovik Milana;
2nd place - Natalya Tregubova;
III place – Diana Sharipova.
On the competence of "Cookery". participants completed two modules according to WorldSkills standards:
- Corn and pumpkin cream soup;
- Fish fillet served with two side dishes: ravioli and vegetable side dish.
Winners:

II place – Zorin Artem;
III place – Kovzalova Karina and Chernyshova Alina.
The works of the participants were evaluated by an independent commission of experts from among social partners:

- Andrey Evgenyevich Frolov - executive director of the Association of Restaurateurs and Hotel Owners of SKO;
- Kazieva Lyudmila Anatolyevna - head chef of "Toy Duman" restaurant;
- Ruban Larisa Leonidovna - director of confectionery company "Slastena";
- Zhumaleeva Alena Vladimirovna – Director of the Itakeli Holiday House;
- Tolokulov Adilet Bektursunovich – bassist of the Tabiti concert hall;
- Kargabayev Kairzhan Orynbaevich is the head chef of the "Royal Palace" restaurant.
