Petropavlovsk Construction and Economic College of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan was founded in 1932. This is one of the oldest educational institutions in the republic. Initially, it was a veterinary technical school, which had 1 educational building, 4 study groups and a hostel and trained livestock specialists of medium qualification for agriculture - livestock specialists and veterinary technicians. The first issue of specialists was made in 1936.

From 1941 to 1943, in connection with the needs of the front, the Petropavlovsk Veterinary College was merged with the Leninsky Agricultural College, located in the village of Pokrovka, the former Leninsky district.
On October 1, 1943, the technical school was restored again with a new set of boys and girls at the expense of the state farms of the region. One of the buildings of the educational building was returned to the technical school, where study groups, a boys' hostel, a canteen, one of the hostel houses used as a library and a women's hostel were located. At the technical school, a preparatory group was organized with a one-year term of study, staffed by youth of Kazakh nationality, who have an education of 5-6 grades and live in state farms.

After restoration, the first graduation of students took place in 1946.
The first admission to the accounting department took place in 1950, and in 1956 the technical school was renamed accounting. Livestock and veterinary technicians were transferred to the Semipalatinsk Agricultural College.
The interests of the national economy required not only accountants, but also qualified specialists in the field of economics and construction. Since 1959, the training of planners began at the technical school, which, with a slight interruption, was carried out until 1998, and since 1962, the name accounting and economic was assigned to the technical school.
The Petropavlovsk Accounting and Economic College is becoming a real forge of economic personnel.

In June 2006, at the initiative of the akim of the North Kazakhstan region T.A. Mansurov, the college was renamed into construction and economic.
