Constitution Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan is celebrated annually on August 30. This day was not chosen by chance. On this day in 1995, the Basic Law of Independent Kazakhstan was adopted in a nationwide referendum. Subsequent changes and additions to the Constitution were introduced in 1998, 2007 and 2022.
In the first article of the Constitution, the Republic of Kazakhstan asserts itself as a democratic, secular, legal and social state, the highest values of which are man, his life, rights and freedoms.
