The First International Cooking Competition “DELARUK Astana 2012”

From April 17 to April 20, 2012, the city of Astana hosted the first International Chef Competition “DELARUK Astana 2012” among teams of chefs from the Republic of Kazakhstan, Russia, Moldova, Ukraine, Serbia, Poland, Austria and many other countries.
The junior team from the North Kazakhstan region was represented by students of the technological department of the Petropavlovsk Construction and Economic College in the amount of 4 people: chef - Raevsky Georgy, student of group 427, cook - Kutepov Vladimir, student of group 237, confectioner - Faut Ksenia, student of group 327, waiter Semenov Konstantin Ruslan Rakhmatulin, student of group 327 and participant of the carving competition, student of group 237. The head of the group is Natalya Mikhailovna Kelba, head of the technological department, and Svetlana Alexandrovna Gorbach, master of industrial training.
The purpose of this competition is to popularize the culinary skills of highly professional cuisine, the development of the restaurant business as an industry. The competition is designed to promote the exchange of work experience, the identification of promising areas for the development of culinary art, the improvement of professional skills and team spirit.
The competition was held in the following categories:
-Team competition among professionals and juniors;
-Individual competitions;
- Art class;
-Carving Championship;
-Master classes;
-Special exhibition.
The teams presented the following dishes to the jury:
-Salad "Spring caprice"
-Hot "Fish mix"
-Dessert "Temptation"
The judging of the competition was carried out according to international rules, evaluated by international judges invited from Moscow, represented by the chairman of the Association of Chefs Guild, chief consultants "CONVOTHERM" Roman Suvorov, Italy, France, Poland, Kazakhstan, Lithuania, Ukraine, Azerbaijan.
For the first place in the team competition in service and the second place in the preparation and serving of European cuisine, the college junior team was awarded gold and silver medals. Commemorative gifts.
