On April 21, a festive event called "ZHEKK - Harbor of Education and Stars" was held, dedicated to awarding diplomas and letters of thanks named after Alexander Stepanovich Viktorenko, pilot-cosmonaut, hero of the Soviet Union, honored citizen of the North Kazakhstan region. Aleksandr Stepanovich Viktorenko - 1st rank military pilot, 3rd rank test pilot, paratrooper training instructor, 1st rank cosmonaut. Mastered more than 10 types of aircraft, flew more than two thousand hours, parachuted more than 150 times, Hero of the Soviet Union with the Gold Star medal, the Order of Lenin, the Order of the October Revolution, the Order of Friendship of Peoples, III degree "For Merit to the Motherland" " and was awarded with medals. Viktorenko has passed four spacewalks, which in 1995 brought our compatriot the world "bronze" for the longest stay in space.
This award is given to college teachers and employees for their high performance in work, best students of the college for their excellent academic achievements and active creative, social, and sports activities. The event is being held as part of the celebration of Cosmonauts' Day and Science Workers' Day.
