May 31 is the Day of Remembrance of Victims of Political Repressions in the Republic of Kazakhstan. In the Petropavlovsk Construction and Economics College, a joint class hour "Non-Healing Wound" dedicated to this date was held. Teacher of history and social disciplines Danilova I.K. told the students about those terrible years and about the horror of "Stalin's repressions". For the people of Kazakhstan, Stalinism is a monstrous life experience of three generations. Almost every family fell under the “Moloch” of Stalinist repressions, “dispossession”, deportation.
Historical facts about the existence of camps and transit prisons on the territory of Kazakhstan and the North Kazakhstan region were given, a map of the Gulag Camp compiled by historians was shown. At the event, they recalled the names of people who were subjected to repressions in those years, and native Kazakhstanis, and those who were exiled to Kazakhstan during the years of repressions from all over the Soviet Union. In conclusion, students and teachers honored the memory of all the repressed with a minute of silence. |
