February 28 is the 175th anniversary of the birth of the people's poet Zhambyl Zhabaev
February 28 - 175 years since the birth of the people's akyn Zhambyl Zhabaev.
Honor and respect for the poet Zhambyl Zhabaev did not come immediately. He had to overcome a long way from a boy - a nomad to a great akyn. However, Zhambyl's life was filled with difficulties from birth. According to legend, the mother gave birth to the future Kazakh poet on February 28, 1846, near Mount Dzhambul. The father named the boy in honor of the mountain Dzhambul (Zhambyl).
He learned to play the dombra early. At the age of 14, Zhambyl decides to become an akyn.
Zhambyl Zhabayev made a great contribution to the development of the poetic art of the Kazakh people, devoted his life to the promotion of eternal human values, the glorification of goodness, justice, and the education of patriotism.
The famous lines "Leningraders, my children!" Kazakh poet wrote in September 1941, immediately after the blockade ring closed. The poet's appeal helped the inhabitants of the besieged city to survive that terrible time.
Only a few months Zhambyl did not live up to his century. His life is an example of deep patriotism, loyalty to his native land and wisdom. Zhambyl Zhabayev left an invaluable legacy that we, Kazakhstanis, have the right to be proud of.
