November 2020 marks the 185th anniversary of birthday of Chokan Chingisovich Valikhanov.
Chokan Valikhanov - historian, ethnographer, geographer and naturalist, traveler and diplomat, public figure and publicist - left an indelible mark on the life of the Kazakh people, as one of bright educators of the XIX century. The name of the outstanding Kazakh scientist is a special place in the history of spiritual culture and science of Kazakhstan. For my short but a very bright life Ch. Valikhanov created a number of works containing valuable observations on the history, ethnography and culture of the population.
In the library of the college On this date, a book exhibition was organized: "Shokan-mangi unfading bright star"
The exhibition presents literature about life and works of Chokan Valikhanov, collections and individual works, photographs, quotes.
Purpose: Patriotic education of youth on the example of the life and work of the outstanding Kazakh scientist Chokan Chingisovich Valikhanov.
