“Living Memory” event dedicated to the 27th anniversary of the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan

On February 9, a traditional meeting of students with internationalist soldiers was held at the Petropavlovsk Construction and Economic College. The meeting was dedicated to the 27th anniversary of the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan. College students, under the leadership of the head of the NVP Bergen V.P., prepared a concert in which they sang songs about that troubled time, read poetry, and remembered the heroes - fellow countrymen who died during the war in Afghanistan. Those gathered honored the memory of the victims with a minute of silence. Veterans of Afghanistan spoke to the college students: Colonel A.V. Vorobyov, head of the missile and artillery support cycle for troops of the Department of Armament and Shooting of the VI NG RK, reserve colonel Doszhanov B.A., senior lecturer of the department of physical training and sports of the VI NG RK and master of production training of the Petropavlovsk Construction and Economic College Bukin M.I.
They told the children about the exploits and heroism of Soviet soldiers who honestly fulfilled their military and civic duty, defending the interests of the Motherland. The veterans thanked the leadership of the college, the head of the NVP Bergen V.P. and students for organizing the “Living Memory” event. Deputy Director for Educational Work A.D. Sadvakasova expressed gratitude to the internationalist veterans for visiting the college and wished them good health.
At the end of the meeting, the veterans were presented with small memorable gifts and flowers.
