On January 26, 2015, a round table was held at the Petropavlovsk Construction and Economics College on the topic: “The introduction of elements of a dual education system at the Petropavlovsk Construction and Economics College is a condition for accelerated industrial and innovative development of the region. Today's results. Prospects for activity"

The purpose of this event is to discuss the issues of introducing a dual training system in PSEC, interaction of the college with employers, the Association of Builders of North Kazakhstan Region, government bodies, improving the quality of professional training of workers; making changes to working curricula and programs, schedules of the educational process; assignment of working qualifications; acceptance of the position of the educational and technology center at the college.

The round table was attended by social partners, the Department of Education of the North Kazakhstan region, representatives of the Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the North Kazakhstan region, the department of coordination, employment and social programs of the North Kazakhstan region, and college directors.
Today, the college provides two-level training for specialists, which makes it possible to use dual training to the greatest extent.

“Since the beginning of the academic year, in the disciplines of general professional and special cycles of the specialty “Construction and operation of buildings and structures”, qualification “Construction Technician”, an experimental modular training system consisting of 10 modules has been used. Based on the modular program, an experimental curriculum has been developed, agreed upon with social partners and the Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the North Kazakhstan region and approved by the education department. 1st year students receiving initial vocational education or working professions are engaged in theoretical training in college 4 days a week and 1 day in industrial training in training workshops of colleges and enterprises. Starting from the second year, students undergo educational and practical training on the basis of social partners, including such LLPs as “Osnovanie”, “Metalloelektrokonstruktsiya”, “SredazEnergoMontazh”, “Lira”, “Plant of Prefabricated Buildings and Structures”, “Remplazma”, “ Workshop Artel”, private enterprise “Zhamaliev”, etc.

“This year, in agreement with the education department and with the support of the Chamber of Entrepreneurs, an educational and technological center was created at the college. In addition, to clearly demonstrate the main construction processes and for practical work of students, a training ground has been built, which is in the process of expanding its areas. The SKO Construction Management and Osnovanie LLP took an active part in the creation of the landfill.
Discussing the issues of introducing dual training, the meeting participants emphasized the need to ensure close interaction with social partners and future employers, which will make it possible to prepare qualified personnel, which the region really needs.

Based on the results of the round table “Introduction of a dual education system at the Petropavlovsk Construction and Economic College, as a condition for accelerated industrial and innovative development of the region. Today's results. Prospects for activity" the following conclusions and recommendations were adopted:

1. The college’s activities to introduce a dual education system at this stage should be considered successful.
2. Taking into account the two-level training of professional personnel in the college and the use of modular programs, develop, together with social partners and the branch of JSC "RSMC" in North Kazakhstan, an experimental curriculum with the study of the entire program of general education disciplines during the first year, as well as the study of special disciplines in modules of several qualifications in in accordance with the requirements of employers.
3. Take as a basis the regulations on the educational and technological center and include it in the college’s work plan.
4. Taking into account modern market relations, as well as for a deeper educational, training and production process, consider the possibility of operating a youth entrepreneurial organization that will unite students, teaching artists, teachers, social partners, will contribute to the formation of innovative growth of creative people, as well as ensuring close connections between the college and business structures, employment of students outside of class hours.
5. When organizing and conducting practical training for students on the basis of social partners, assign a mentor to each student individually.
6. When adjusting curricula and programs, consider the possibility of increasing teaching hours in a foreign language to develop students’ communicative competence and the possibility of improving professional skills at the international level.
7. Continue work in the form of seminars, round tables, conferences together with organizations of technical and vocational education with the involvement of social partners;
8. The materials presented at the round table should be summarized and proposed for use in the work of teaching staff of TVE organizations.
