On April 6, 2022, as part of the week of construction disciplines, an Open Day “We train professionals!” was held.
An open day is one of the forms of working with applicants, which provides them with the opportunity to get acquainted with an educational institution, its traditions, rules, and objectives of the educational process. Choosing the right profession is the first step to success in your future life.
The purpose of this event is to popularize construction professions and conduct career guidance among city schools.
About 200 schoolchildren from 8 educational institutions in Petropavlovsk visited the college.
College teachers introduced the students to the conditions for admission, talked about the specialties, in-demand professions for which students are trained. The guys were able to take part in a master class on finishing construction work and become electric and gas welders. Students also visited specialized rooms such as a 3D modeling room, a geodesy room, a hydraulics laboratory, carpentry, stone, and finishing workshops.
Many schoolchildren have already decided on their choice of future profession. However, most of them, having come to college and seen with their own eyes, and some of them tried laying brickwork and plastering walls with their own hands, thought: “Did I choose my profession correctly?”
During the day, schoolchildren were shown master classes on construction professions. All the guys left happy with thoughts about new horizons for their future profession.
Open Day is necessary for schoolchildren so that they can better learn about professions and options for choosing their future.
